Internet Marketing Grid is a technology recommendation site. We look at consumer electronics, score them against a published method, and write down what we find.
How this site makes money
When you click a link to Amazon from this site and buy something, Amazon pays us a percentage. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway.
That arrangement creates an obvious pull: the more you buy, the more we earn. We deal with that in three ways, and you can check all three.
- The selection method is published. Every product is scored against the same eight factors before we write about it, and the score appears on the page.
- Commission is a small part of that score. It is worth ten points out of a hundred, and it is listed openly rather than hidden.
- Every review names the downsides. If a product has a real drawback, it is in the second column of the verdict, at the same size as the upsides.
What we do not do
We do not accept payment for a review, a ranking, or a placement. We do not publish sponsored posts dressed as editorial. We do not invent ratings, review counts, or testing we have not done. If we have not used a product, the review says so at the top.
Corrections
We get things wrong. When we do, we fix the page and note what changed rather than quietly editing it. Send us a correction.
